The Gratitude Book Project: Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude

Today I am coming to you from a sincere place of gratitude, not only for the many blessings in my life, but for the privilege of serving you and being in your space.  The symbol you are seeing is that of an Ambassador for The Gratitude Book Project:  Celebrating 365 Days of GratitudeThis book gathers together more than 300 co-authors who were all asked the question “What are you grateful for?” .

Hundreds of inspirational pieces for every day of the year.  People sharing extraordinary thoughts, feelings and stories about how gratitude affects their lives and the people around them.

When I heard about this project, I knew I wanted to contribute.  The one person who immediately came to my mind was my mother, Donna Brady.  My mom celebrated her 70th birthday in November and struggling to decide on what to give her for this milestone in her life, I thought what an honor to be able to share with the world, just how much this amazing woman has done for my life, and dedicate my piece in The Gratitude Book Project:  Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude to her.

Every one of us has something to be grateful for, in good times, but especially in those times of struggle.  Just this morning I was attending my weekly networking meeting and one of our members asked me to stay behind for a little chat.  He knows I am a Life Coach and wanted to discuss how it is I approach or work with an individual that is going through a difficult period or situation in his or her life.  The answer was quite simple – gratitude.  Too many times we focus on what is not going well in our lives and are astounded by the fact that things just keep getting worse instead of better.  I went on to explain to him that each and every one of us have so much to be grateful for, but a lot of times, we start to take those things for granted.  By switching our mind to gratitude and being aware of the many blessings we have in our lives, even the simplest blessing – that we woke up this morning – we can change our vibration, and start to attract more joy into our lives.

Gratitude knows no boundaries and has no prejudices.  It is available to each and every one of us.

I am proud to be part of this amazing project, one that will not only inspire those who have the chance to read it, but also for the following four non-profit organizations that will benefit from all the proceeds:

  • Feeding America
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation
  • ASPCA
  • Women for Women International
